I think I never mentioned that I started a gossip podcast with my friend Eva. It's in German and we have tons of fun. Although we totally underestimated the work we have to put into it.

Nachdem wir lange mit dem Projekt schwanger gegangen sind, haben meine Freundin Eva und ich einen gemeinsamen Klatsch- und Tratsch-Podcast gestartet. Er heißt "Frankfurter Kranz" und wir laden euch mit jeder Episode zu einem gemeinsamen Kaffeekränzchen mit Klatsch und Tratsch aus der Welt der Reichen und Schönen ein.

Ich bin schon länger Podcasthörer und war auf der Suche nach einem deutschen Klatsch- und Tratsch-Podcast. Aber da gab es nichts, was mich begeistert hätte. Deshalb habe ich beschlossen, selbst einen zu machen. Eva hat sich überzeugen lassen und wir haben einen klassischen "Laberpodcast", in dem wir lose strukturiert über alles tratschen, was uns interessiert. Anteilig am Größten ist oft unsere Diskussion zu den europäischen Royals.

Die Vorbereitungen auf den Podcast haben gut 1 Jahr gedauert. Ich bin diejenige, die alles macht, was über die reine Aufnahme hinausgeht. Insbesondere das Editing macht mir schon sehr viel Arbeit, weil ich einfach noch nicht so schnell bin und ewig brauche. Unser ursprünglicher Plan von einer Episode alle 2 Wochen stellt sich langsam als unrealistisch heraus, denn mit all der vielen Arbeit, habe ich kaum Freizeit. Und die dann noch ausschließlich mit Podcast-Editing zu füllen, schaffe und will ich auch nicht. Bei aller Liebe zum Projekt!

Nichtsdestotrotz ist es etwas, was uns enormen Spaß macht und in Zukunft ein wenig regelmäßiger erscheint als bisher.

Wenn ihr Lust habt, hört doch mal rein. Die aktuelle Episode ist eine Podwichtelfolge, die nicht VON uns, sondern von einem anderen Podcast FÜR uns gemacht wurde. Aber in der Folge davor sind wir am Schnacken. Und eine aktuelle Folge ist ebenfalls gerade im Editing. :)

I used to read books more often than I do now. I read tons of fanfic and newspapers/magazines. But books are love. And when the year is gone I always discover that I didn't read as much as I thought. So at least one book per month this year.

That's certainly not too much to do.

Star Trek in all its incarnations and flavors. I started watching Star Trek with TNG, went then pretty quickly to TOS and started writing K & S & M friendship fics before I even knew what fandom and fangirls were.

Star Trek accompanied me through my life. I watched every series when it aired (except the last two seasons of "Enterprise") and every movie. I watched the old ones and went to the cinema for the new ones.

I read the books, I read the comics, I read the fanfiction. I listened to the audiobooks, I sewed a pillow and embroidered my ships. I persuaded my parents to drive me to the museum to see "Star Trek Experience" when it was on tour, discussed episodes in podcasts, fell in love with characters, shipped the hell out of them and bought a Star Trek Cook Book. *lol*

And now it's back again with Discovery which I really like and have so much fun with! <3

It's part of me being a fangirl and I love it!

A/N: In my headcanon Stiles is pretty alone. The pack relies on him but he has nobody who helps him out. He's struggling against the darkness around him - especially after the possesion through the Nogitsune. And although he knows that he should/will leave Beacon Hills in the end for his own sanity, he can't bring himself to do it as long as his Dad and his friends are there. He wants to run, wants to find his own way but he's lost. Through all of this some glimmer of hope remains. There will be a "tomorrow", there will be family and friends and humanity will suceed.
It's quite an eclectic mix of music but (and although it's impolite to toot my own horn here) one of the mixes I think is pretty on point.

I should be humble and say that it would be great to find like minded fangirls and -boys - so take a look at my journal (I'm mostly active on LJ but have been crossposting for a while now), that you leave a comment if you like something over at dunder_fic or AO3 and that I wish you would make a transformative work statement.

And while all these things are true, I totally have a list of ideas and prompts I would love to see as a fic or as drawn art. Is this narcissistic? Yes. Will I still post it? Of course! :D

- I have a german multifandom community called dunder_fic.

I need winner/participation banners for the challenge once a year and also a hand full of icons for the winners. I can't do graphics for the life of me and until now I was always lucky to find some kind souls who helped me out. But if somebody would do even one icon I would be really greatful!

Teen Wolf

- AU with Phantom!Peter

- Sentinel!AU with either Sterek or Steter

- There are some great Teen Wolf fix it time travel AUs out there. But I love, love, love Stiles going back in time and meeting the alive Hale pack just to fix either the whole time line for Derek or at least meet the old pack before he comes back to Derek. Basically a Stiles/Derek fix it time travel AU would be wonderful:)

- I'm a fan of BAMF Stiles, magic!Stiles or emissary!Stiles in general. Especially if the pack underestimates him and he has to prove himself - either right there or through leaving and coming back in full bloom so to speak;P

- I also love to see pack dynamics of the old Hale pack with a good-ish!Peter and Stiles in it. I like it when Peter is cunning and manipulative but I'm not a fan of outright evil!Peter.

The Hobbit

- Bagginshield forever!

- There can't be enough courting/braiding/hair Bilbo/Thorin fics out there. I read tons of fics with oblivious Bilbo and Thorin basically asking him to court him through braiding etc. But there was never a story with a smart Bilbo, knowing fully well the importance of braiding and hair and beads. Can I have a fic in which Bilbo understands all of that and tries to court Thorin but Thorin thinking that Bilbo is oblivious and therefor not really reacting like he would with a dwarf. Basically one big UST with happy ending.

- Love the Sentinel!AUs for Bilbo/Thorin in which Bilbo is secretly a BAMF and Thorin oblivious for some time.

Burnt

- Everything Tony/Adam would be great because there really aren't enough fics with them out there.
I really would love a courting fic in which Adam has to persuade Tony to give him a chance. Preferably with food;)

- I also would enjoy a Sentinel!AU

- A/B/O dynamic with this pairing would be interesting to explore as well.

Harry Potter

- HERE are my prompts for the rarepair challenge last year. So if one of these prompts speak to you, go ahead and write or draw it. There are many characters I like in HP fandom but everything with Neville/Charlie is love, love, love!

Yuri on Ice

- A Victuuri story based on the beach scene from the beginning in which Victor asks Yuuri what he should be for him - lover, friend or coach? And of course we know the answer!

- Give me all the domestic future fic (preferably with kid)

Art Prompts

Fandom: Teen Wolf

Pairing: Stiles/Derek with some nice Peter & Stiles friendship
Summary: There is an uneasy truce between the werewolves in the woods and the humans who live in Beacon Hills, protected by a magical boundary that gives warning any time a werewolf crosses it. Then the sheriff is taken by the werewolves and his son offers himself in exchange.
Stiles promises to serve the werewolf pack, not knowing what horrible use they might have for him. But it turns out his most useful skill is the ability to cross the boundary line between humans and werewolves. Life with the werewolves is nothing like he feared and the werewolves themselves are nothing like the hunters' stories would have him believe.
Note: Not a new fic but one of my favorites ever! It's a Sterek fic but the dynamics between Stiles and Peter are really great, too. It checks all my boxes: magical!Stiles, BAMF!Stiles, slow burn, world building, actual character development and a pretty interesting premise in a segregated Beacon Hills. I re-read it at least 3 times last year. Yeah, I know, it's not like there are tons of new fanfics out there;)

Fandom: Star Trek Deep Space 9
Author: AuroraNova
Title: "Altering Course"
Pairing: Garak/Bashir
Summary: When Julian volunteered to spend six months on Cardassia he set in motion a chain of events which forever changed his life - and Garak's.

A/N: Post-canon Cardassia friends-to-lovers isn't a new concept, and has been well done by others previously. When I read some of these I wondered, "what would it look like for these two to actually work out the nitty-gritty of a relationship?" and "we have Julian's POV, but what about Garak's?" So I started writing and ended up writing this novel.
Note: This story made me happy. Not only because I enjoyed the writing and great world building but also because this fandom still gets long, new stories like that after the series more ore less doesn't air on TV anymore since years (this year it's its 25th anniversary btw)

I had so much fun with it. The slow build and the dynamics between Garak and Bashir were fantastic and very in character. And there was enough snark and flirting and honesty in it to give both of them a development which was fun to watch.

I also liked the concept of the courting that's happening in the fic. Three simple steps but laced with rules that felt very cardassian in their nature. The author did a good job exploring beyond the usual happy ending. As much as I love my post-cardassian stories in which as focal point the two characters finally come together I enjoyed this one exploring what happens after this first step as much. It's a bit like lifting the curtain and telling people what happened after Cinderella and Prince Charming found each other.

Really highly recommended!

Thorin, he thinks as one of the guards yanks his head back and puts a blade to his chin. Forgive me."
Note: Go and read it! It was absolutely gorgeous and I was surprised that I liked it so much. Because it's the first time I read Dwalin/Bilbo and usually I'm not a fan of this pairing. But this story made my heart ache. It would be a real loss if you don't read it.

Summary: For a moment, Tony gets the distinct impression that Adam's flirting with him. But no. Not even Adam is that much of an asshole.
Note: Somtimes there is this one fic and you suddenly start shipping a pairing. I completely blame sandrine for my Tony/Adam obsession because in this well written fic the characters are on point and it made me fall in love with them even more. Must read!

Note: That's my favorite Yuri on Ice podfic from last year. This podfic gave me life! Loved, loved, loved it! While the original story is great the medium of podfic gave it a whole other dimension. Also great use of ringtones and stuff. It was soooo much fun and it's worth listening to it.

I feel like repeating myself over and over again by telling this because I already told most of my f-list I think, but here we go:

I was a fangirl long before I even knew what fanfiction was and that fandom existed. Yes, there were early computers in my childhood already. But it was rare to have them at home or use use them for anything other than homework. It could have been basically a time before computers. So connecting with other fans wasn't as easy as it is nowadays. Do I show my age here or what?! *gg*

Anyway... my first step into fandom was Star Trek. And my first ship was Spock/female of the week. A friend of mine and me always wrote little (gen) dialogues during lessons when we were bored. I always wrote Spock's voice, she always was Kirk and depending on our mood one of us wrote McCoy. More often than not she was Mcoy AND Kirk. From there we joined the Star Trek Fan Club and for the first time I saw fanzines... and discovered that slash ships existed. I was surprised and fascinated and sailed away on the K/S ship immediately. But fanfiction wasn't easily available like that and I admit that I didn't dare to actually order slash zines back then.

My real fangirl life with emerging myself in fanfiction archives, finding likeminded people, discuss the good and bad of TPTB's decisions and just had fun with a series/movie started (again) in 2007 with the US remake of Queer as Folk. I was hooked pretty badly and found m way to LJ. It was like a whole new universe opened to me. And here I am ever since :D

I wasn't very active in fandom in 2017. So I wanna start 2018 with some fandom love!

I did the challenge a couple of times and it was always tons of fun where I found great stories, writers etc...
I only finished it completely twice though. I know it's a low pressure challenge but completing it gives me a nice feeling of accomplishment.

All in all: I like it!

I like making picspams. So making one about Burton for the "52 weeks of Primeval" was a no-brainer. Have some of the character and some of Siddig as well. Because be honest, my fellow Denialists, he's kind of hot - no matter if in character or not.

Although I have to say that I have a thing for manipulative asshole characters who you love to hate:)

Let's start this entry with Alexander Siddig himself and what he told us about Philip Burton (shortly before the character appeared for the first time in series 4):

This is the 2nd part of a picspam I made for Bring Back The Porn.
It has examples of porn from the 19th century onwards.
I tried to sort the different pics roughly after time periods.

Warnings: It's porn! Het and gay pairings, masturbation, threesomes and more,
bestiality (like in old greek statues) + very light BDSM (masks, bondage, whip).

Picspam: "Porn through the centuries" (for BBTP 2017) - Part 1

This is the first part of a picspam I made for Bring Back The Porn.
So I brought the porn and looked at it through the ages.
When I started to dive deeper into the theme
I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of examples and depictions
of sex and sexual behaviour through the ages.

Although this picspam is far from being complete
there were so many things I wanted to include that in the end
I decided to split it into two picspams.

This 1st part shows mainly early "porn" from ca. 25.000 BC to the 19th century.
The 2nd part has mostly victorian porn and some later examples.
I tried to sort the different pics roughly after time periods.
